Modernist linear suspension light

Inspired by contemporary jazz, dance music and modernist architecture, Armitage has produced a new collection of lighting, in response to requests from friends and clients. The Modernist collection embodies a refined contemporary aesthetic and structural efficiency, building on the success of Joe Armitage’s debut classic lamp designs. It includes two wall lamps, a desk lamp, and a choice between a linear or triple-drop suspension lamp.///Description
The shade shape is the result of an experiment in form-finding evolved from the material characteristics of the recycled PET parchment which has been developed by Armitage in collaboration with a Swiss engineering company. The flexible material bows between two linear elements which hold it in place. The result is a U-channel shade which can be seen across the whole collection. Each light is handmade in the UK.
