Cesta table light

The Cesta light started life as an abandoned opal globe, found by designer Miguel Milá as he strolled the streets of 1960’s Barcelona. He designed a custom ‘cesta’, Spanish for basket, formed of steam-bent cherry wood to hold the fragile piece.///Description
Designed to be used as a table or floor light, the lamp comprises a frosted opal globe and wood frame with carry handle and four legs. The cherry wood frame is crafted by hand, using traditional steam bending techniques to ensure a sturdy yet elegantly curved profile.

Cesta is one of the most iconic lamps created by Miguel Milá, and forms part of Santa & Cole’s Design Classics collection. It is a symbol of Mediterranean warmth and well-being, and a functional design of timeless appeal.
